This project was completed in groups of three and focused on renovating the ninth floor of a Toronto business tower. Our concept is rooted in nature with three main priorities in mind. Sustainability, functionality, and materiality are all at the forefront of this design. This office consists of organic forms, healthy materials, and low-carbon features. Ultimately, every design aspect has a purpose in creating a healthy and eco-friendly work environment.

Our goal overall was to ensure the floor would be low carbon and utilize sustainable materials throughout. Key features of this office include a green wall, 100% locally sourced materials and finishes, custom living ceiling with accent beams and lighting as well as all workstations being exposed to natural light. The floor plan was meticulously created to ensure a strong axis point as well as for ease of wayfinding through the space while the overall health and wellbeing of employees was considered throughout.
